ARCAN does not transport data. ARCAN protects it before transmission. PrivCloud Sharing addresses another necessity: transferring, sharing, receiving and monitoring sensitive files within an encrypted and controlled environment.

Validated tests
A complementarity tested in real conditions
Before announcing this complementarity, real-world tests were performed.
Files were sealed with ARCAN, transferred through PrivCloud Sharing, retrieved, then opened and verified after transmission.
These tests helped identify a concrete operational point: some third-party platforms may modify or alter elements required for correct recovery on the recipient side, especially when links are exchanged.
After investigation, the difficulties encountered did not originate from the cryptographic mechanisms or from the technologies themselves. Once this intermediary behaviour was identified and bypassed, the transfers were successfully validated.
